Beliefs

Our Faith

God

We believe in One God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 5:16; John 1:1; 2 Peter 1:21)

Creation

We believe God the Father spoke all things into being.
(Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Hebrews 11:3)

Jesus

We believe Jesus, God’s only Son, was both fully human and divine, born of a virgin, and lived a perfect life as to come as one of us to rescue us from sin. (Matthew 1:8; John 1:14)

Messiah

We believe Jesus was crucified, died, was buried, and resurrected from the dead on the third day to save us from our sins and make the only way we can be rescued from death.
(1 Corinthians 15:3-8)

Scripture

We believe the Bible is God’s Holy Word and by it we discover more clearly who God is, understand who Jesus is, and it sets the standard who we are called to be as disciples.
(Hebrews 4:12)

Sin

We believe all have fallen away from the way God created us to be, and as a result of our rebellion (apart from Jesus) we have condemned ourselves.
(Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23)

Hope

We believe salvation from this self-inflicted condemnation comes only through the blood of Jesus.
(Matthew 26:28; Romans 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-9)

Discipleship

When a person becomes a disciple of Jesus they accept God’s grace. A person disciples themselves to Jesus through faith in Christ, repentance of sin, immersing themselves into Christ, and committing themselves to follow and obey the teachings of Jesus.
(Romans 5:1-2; Luke 24:45-47; 2 Peter 3:9; Galatians 2:27; Colossians 2:12)

The Church

We believe the church is the bride of Christ, brought together by the blood of Jesus, made up of all Christ followers everywhere.
(Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:14-47)

The Gospel is this...

The Kingdom of God has come through Jesus of Nazareth. He is Christ, the King, God's One and only Son. He died on the cross for our sins, was buried and resurrected on the third day (according to the Scriptures). In His great love and by His amazing grace, God our Father saves everyone who repents of their sin, believes the gospel, and follows Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit. When King Jesus returns on the last day, the great Day of Judgment, everyone who followed Him will enter the eternal Kingdom of God.
(Mark 1:14-17; 1 Corinthians 15:1-7)
