We often get into routines in our lives in our relationships, our work, our day, our faith. After a while we can expect to know how it all is going to work. We don’t expect really for anything else to happen. Looking at the life of King David we take a look at the unexpected people God uses to do unexpected things.

Why Don't I Always Feel God?

Posted on September 7th, by epic in Epic Church. No Comments

So, on Sunday we talked through the idea of why we don't always feel God… Here are the passages we went through with some questions to ask yourself about why you might not be feeling God like you used to… If you want to watch the sermon, you can click here http://epicchurch.us/nature-response-series-seeds-8282011-2/…
———– ARE YOU OVERSENSATIONALIZING IT? "Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." 30 So they asked him, "What miraculous sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do?" John 6:29-30 IS YOUR HEART HAS HARDENED? You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. 15 For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Matt 13:14-15 ARE YOU BEING OBEDIENT? Sinner or Saint – SERIES: Romans (5/1/2011)

Posted on May 1st, by dhamilton in Uncategorized. No Comments

Let’s be honest, we all have a little bit of sinner in us… Maybe it’s sneaking another candy bar out of your kids treat bag or stealing pens from work. Whether your sinner side is small or big, it’s a problem. This week, Kent draws out of Romans 1:7-17 to show us a new way God has revealed of getting rid of that pesky sinful side of us and turning into real saints. This message will challenge you, so be prepared!

If you have been encouraged by Kent’s messages, we would encourage you to join Epic in helping people connect to God one person at a time by partnering with us through an online contribution!

Take a break…

Posted on March 23rd, by epic in Epic Church. No Comments

If you are like me, you probably have something or someone constantly calling for your attention. Sometimes, the best thing we can do for others is to get off and recoup, to seek God, to pray, to listen. Maybe today, on your way home from work you could shut off the radio. Maybe tonight you could go for a walk. Take the time to find some time! It’s worth it!

End of the Day

Posted on March 22nd, by epic in Epic Church. No Comments

It’s getting close to the end of the work day! Don’t know about anyone else, but I’m ready to go home and see my family! I love when I walk through the door and Peter yells, “DAD!” and Pipes, says, “ArrggghRRR!” There is nothing better than kissing my wife and holding my children in my arms. That’s the good stuff!

I really want to have that same excitement when it comes to my relationship with God! You know, Jesus said that we needed to become like little children – I think that means a lot of different things, but one of the things it means is to never lose the excitement and wonder at seeing our God work. What are some ways you’ve seen Him working in your life lately?
