This Saturday, from 9:30-Noon, our launch team is going to be canvassing neighborhoods to try and collect diapers and wipes for an organization called Protect our Children (they service the poorest of the poor in Wichita).   We will be asking people to leave their donations on their porch in one week and we will pick them up and deliver them for them.

We are specifically asking you to come and join us on Saturday at 9:30am, we will be meeting at the building (5725 E. Kellogg Dr.)

Did you Miss Sunday?

In case you missed last Sunday at the building, you can learn more about how you can be personally involved in Epic Church purchasing and remodeling the building on Kellogg by … Read More »

What kind of Church is Epic?

Posted on January 22nd, by admin in The Church. No Comments

Maybe that’s a weird question… I’m ok with that. But maybe you are wondering, what’s Epic’s focus, “why another church?” There are a lot of answers to those questions, but I’ll tell you what is at the top of my list. Epic Church is different and exists because we care about connecting people to God, 1 person @ a time! We are not perfect at this, maybe not even good yet – but we care about it deeply and feel called by God to live it out, not just on Sunday’s, but every day of the week.

We are not for seekers or for saved – we are for people who want to (or frankly, need to) connect with God – the giver of life, the one who can reconcile all your wrong doing in Christ, the one who created you … Read More »

Coming up Sunday!

Posted on August 4th, by epic in Epic Church. 2 comments

Wow, it’s been a really crazy last 30 days or so, but I am finally going to be getting back to preaching this Sunday, and I am really looking forward to it. I don’t feel like the same man that I was a month ago – I feel like I am walking with a limp emotionally… All I really care about is that we do a great job loving people – because people matter!

Being Weird in a Life Way – SERIES: Weird (7/17/11)

Posted on July 19th, by dhamilton in Uncategorized. No Comments

Following Christ takes more than just the time you spend on Sunday morning, it takes your whole life. This week (7/17/11) special guest speaker Keenan Poore talks about what it means to do exactly that using a great example of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

If you have been encouraged by Kent’s messages, we would encourage you to join Epic in helping people connect to God one person at a time by partnering with us through an online contribution!

Jenni and I had a really good Thanksgiving! We went to Medicine Lodge and hung out with her family. It was a blast to spend time with family and just relax.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Can’t wait to see you Sunday!

A Few Follow Up Tips From Sunday

Posted on November 9th, by epic in Uncategorized. No Comments

Yesterday we talked about how to get right side up with our finances. I laid out a simple strategy of Deciding to do away with debt, Starting to specifically set aside savings, and to Purposefully plan.
I have a few side notes that I want to leave with you – just a couple of tips.

1. When you begin to pay off credit cards or loans you will pay them off much faster if you begin with smaller ones and focus your excess income on paying just one credit card or loan off first. Jenni and I did this and as we would pay one off, we would transfer the money we were already used to paying on that credit card to the next – it was like a snowball effect.

2. Get rid of services you don’t need. … Read More »

Can't Sleep

Posted on September 6th, by epic in Uncategorized. No Comments

Already I can’t sleep as I think about our launch Sunday! Jenni and I laid down to take a nap today (after doing some yard work) and all I could think about was next Sunday and what God is going to do!

As I think about it, I just keep asking Him to show up. It doesn’t really matter if I preach a great sermon, or if our band comes off flawlessly. What matters is that the God of the universe shows up and turns a movie theater into a holy place! If you are praying for us, this would be the one thing that I ask you to pray for – that God would show up – that His presence would ignite Epic Church!
